ANON INTERNS MEET, 2024

QVS is proud to share that its students who had interned with Anon Global Foundation, were felicitated at Anon’s Annual Interns Meet at the Indus Valley School , Noida on 13th January, 2024. Anon is an NGO that promotes the importance of mental and overall well-being of individuals.

The Guests of Honour-Mr. Sandeep Bidani and Mr. Vipin Tuteja, Directors (WOY Consultancy) held a master session on the topic The Power of Netwoking. Whereas the spectators were also addressed by the Chief Guest- Mr. Vineet KKN ‘Panchhi’, Founder, Jai Hind Project.

Science, the inquisitive voyage of the human intellect, embarks upon the uncharted seas of knowledge, wielding the compass of observation. QVS aims to instill a multitude of valuable qualities, such as critical thinking, curiosity, patience, and adaptability. Keeping this in mind, the school participated in FAST TRACK organized by St. Mark’s School, Meera Bagh on 16 August, 2023. The participants were expected to display a one-minute activity and explain the scientific principles involved. NATIONAL ADOLESCENT LEADERSHIP SUMMIT@CBSE

Queen’s Valley School participated in The National Adolescent Leadership Summit on Life Skills, Mental Health, Safety, and Well-Being organized by CBSE and held at National Bal Bhavan , New Delhi, from December 18th to 21st, 2023. The various events and competitions organized at the summit not only helped enrich the spirit of cooperation and teamwork among the adolescent peer mentors but also helped to build effective communication skills and presence of mind in them. A major event of the summit- “National Health and Well-Being Exhibition,” along with providing a nurturing ground for creative expression on issues of prominence in society today, enabled the participants to offer a glimpse of the holistic activities conducted at QVS to schools across the nation.

The queens brought laurels to the school and made indelible contributions towards the creation of a more sustainable, aware, and positive social environment.

QVS Felicitation at Anonotsav

The students of Queen’s Valley School firmly believe in bringing a change to the world and therefore indulged themselves to be a part of an internship by Anon Global Foundation. ANON is an NGO that works with educational institutes and corporates to empower learners on various topics such as Mental Health and Life Skills, Resilience, Building Confidence, Happiness, Stress Management, Leadership etc.

The internship helped in enriching the students with life skills, sensitivity towards mental health, moral values and respect for the environment. Students who had been a part of internship were invited at Anonotsav for a felicitation ceremony. AFG celebrated Anonotsav on 7th October 2023 to commemorate ANON’s 4th Foundation Day at OP Jindal Auditorium, New Delhi. The pupils were awarded for showcasing their determination and perseverance all throughout the internship. They were awarded for doing tremendous work in the sectors of paw projects, cleanliness drives, sustainable growth, plantation and many more.

The students showcased great care for the environment and helped Mother Earth. The cultural programme was organized for awarding and appreciating the work done by students, teachers and Principals from various schools. Following students and alumni of QVS were felicitated at the event:

Queen’s Valley School firmly believes in the adage, ‘Give young people the chance to follow their passion for art and craft’. To keep up with this tradition, QVS participated in a painting competition organized by Max Super Speciality Hospital, Dwarka on 14 August 2023 for the students of classes V, IX and X.

The topics for the competition were ‘Monsoon or Rainy Season’ for the junior category, ‘Patriotism’ for the middle category and ‘Environment and Climate Change’for the senior category. ‘Financial Fiesta’ was organized by ITL Public School in which the students were put in the shoes of policymakers and were encouraged to think and advocate for the development of tourism as a yardstick for economic growth in their allocated state or UT. They were expected to frame policies that promoted and achieved sustainable, resilient, and inclusive Tourism in their respective State/UT. This event added to the core values of the students including Leadership Skills, Analytical abilities, and Reasoning.

The team of 3 members – Arnika Solanki (XII-A), Komal Kumari (XII-A) and Tanisi Jalan (XI-C) bagged the 1st position for the event of ‘The Domestic Tourism Summit’ on 19th July, 2023, adding another feather to the Queen’s Valley School hat. Aparajita Nagpal from PS Rapunzel, representing QVS, seized the spotlight with her remarkable design prowess, securing a well-deserved third position. Model United Nations is a platform for the budding talent to apprise themselves of the ongoing global challenges. St. Cecilia School, Vikaspuri organised their first-ever Cecilian Model United Nations conference on 21-22 July 2023. The platform helped students gain a cosmopolitan perspective for a higher and noble vision to facilitate world progress.

The 2-day conference consisted of 7 committees namely, United Nations General Assembly [UNGA], United Nations Environmental Program [UNEP], United Nations Commission on the status of women [UNCSW], United Nations Human Rights Council [UNHRC], Council of Superhuman Affairs [CSHA], All India Political Party Meet [AIPPM] and International Press [IP].

QVS feels proud to announce the winners of SAMIKSHA- A BOOK REVIEW COMPETITION organised by OPG World School, Dwarka on 9th May 2023. A book review is more than just reading a book and presenting the summary. They require extensive research, a deep understanding of the writer’s message, and the essence of the book in general. They teach young minds to articulate their thoughts and dissect complex ideas. With this goal, the participants were expected to thoroughly read and understand the themes of the book in their respective categories and answer analytical questions based on it. Sumati Thakur (X D) and Ridhima Semwal (XI B) secured 1st position in their respective categories (Hindi and English) and were also awarded a cash prize of 3000 each. Heartiest congratulations!

The students of QVS showcase their exceptional talent and dedication, not only excelling as learners in the classroom but also extending their capabilities beyond its boundaries. This year, thirteen students from QVS have been selected as interns at Anon Global Foundation, a social NGO committed to promoting and enabling wellness for the all-round welfare of society. ANON has been working as a catalyst in bringing holistic health solutions for sustainable livelihood with primary focus on physical and mental health awareness. The ANON team has conducted over 1000 sessions and successfully completed 13 batches of internships at a pan-India level.”

Nine students participated in the three-month internship program known as Environment Scouts. This program is designed to foster a sustainable environment through the creative initiatives of young interns. Throughout the internship, participants engaged in a variety of tasks, including individual commitments, team projects, on-ground research, the Paw Project, and the E-waste Project. On the other hand, the remaining four students are actively striving to work in the six-month internship program. This program provides interns with the opportunity to specialize in a specific role and contribute to the organization’s management of various profiles.

The interns remained engaged and enthusiastic throughout the course of their internship, demonstrating a strong commitment to excel in the tasks assigned to them.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to Anon Global Foundation for providing this enriching platform and congratulate the interns for their outstanding achievements.
