Hi there, Hope this email finds you well. Given that it was Teacher’s Day just recently, I thought of writing to the school as a former student at QVS. I attended the school from grade 7 to grade 9 and the first few months of grade 10, before my father got transferred to Singapore (2012-2015). I just wanted to thank the principal, Shraddha maam, and all the other teachers for their all support and guidance throughout and beyond my time at QVS. I am very grateful for the values and the top-notch education that was provided to me. It is because of that reason where I have reached in my career today. I just graduated with an International BBA degree with Honours with a certificate in International Management from one of the top universities in Canada – The Schulich School of Business, York University. I will now be starting my full time job at the leading bread company in the Canada – Bimbo Canada in about a week from now. I just wanted to thank you once again because without the education and values I received, I wouldn’t be where I am right now. Very proud to say that I am a QVS alumni!

Best Regards

Words don’t come easy to me when it comes to speaking of my journey at QVS. My journey at Queen’s Valley School began when I was just seven. QVS not only made me a good student but an all rounder, someone who can fight any battle of life. I believe QVS and lovely teachers hold the maximum share in what all I am today . I started this journey when I was just seven but it ended when I was eighteen, it’s huge! and equally precious. I am and will always be thankful for all the memories this beautiful journey has given me.

The institution transformed me into a person of caliber and helped me in every possible way. My teachers always instilled a hope of optimism and self confidence in me which pushed me to work harder. It is so true that school life cannot be replaced and I wish that they could have lasted a little longer. Currently, I am pursuing Btech in ECE from BVCOE, Delhi and would like to thank all my teachers for their unconditional love and help towards me and thank them for making me the person that I am today.

I believe that the school you go to becomes your home and it is the first stepping stone in your journey towards knowledge and experience. QVS had been my home for almost nine years. I made amazing friends through all the years that passed. It’s a place that taught me different feelings whether it is success or failure, team work or individuality. I would always be grateful to my beautiful teachers who showed support in times when I failed to see potential in me. This place taught me values that I will carry with me for my life. QVS had and will always have a special place in my heart.

My journey at QVS was a five year long journey. Right from the teachers to the support staff, the focus there is on the overall well being and development of the student. The teachers had always showered me with their love and affection and had guided me in my difficult times. My journey at Queen’s Valley School began when I was in class 2nd. At QVS you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person . I decided not to only focus on academic work but also to invest quality time in co-curricular activities and the teachers helped me in every possible way. I thought I might like to become a doctor one day, but I had no idea how to go about doing that. But my teachers always motivated me. I am grateful to all my teachers and classmates at QVS as I am beginning a new chapter in my life as an MBBS student.

I spent my last 6 years of school life in QVS. Becoming a part of this family in 2013, I faced problem in mingling with others but eventually I got to interact with the inclusive approach of the faculty and the students. Thanks to the school which inculcated various qualities, primarily speaking skills and contributed in creating the present day me who relies highly on those skills while pursuing law as a career option. The six hours day with block periods did seem eternal but now makes me nostalgic and regretful for the fact they were not. From walking into the library in the summers after sports period to taking the longest route to return to the class makes me want to relive those moments. The faculty and their persistence with academics was undoubtedly what made me able to give an outstanding performance in academics as well as extra-curricular activities. Not to mention the security and comfort provided by an all-girls school was simply impeccable. I shall always owe my future and its rewards to QVS. My heart will always wait to sing “we are the queens of QVS” again..

When I became a student of Queen’s Valley School I was a fourteen year old, completely unaware of what was going to happen next. With the infinite support and motivation of my teachers I learnt to never give up, I learnt lessons that still help me grow everyday and most importantly I learnt to be a good person. QVS provided me with opportunities that helped me discover who I truly am. Even after completing my schooling, whenever I walk inside the gate of my school the positive environment never fails to invigorate me. Today, as a budding advocate, I owe every inch of my success to my teachers who always encouraged me to achieve what I thought was impossible. I would specially like to thank my principal and vice principal for being my pillars of support throughout this journey and helping me choose the right path.

In my 7 years long journey at Queens Valley School, I felt that managing sports and academics was never a tough job for me, due to the willingness of teachers to repeat the lessons (which I missed due to Inter School competitions). QVS provides a platform to not only showcase your talent but also enhance your skills be it art and craft, sports ,acadamics ,dance or music. The praiseworthy and experienced faculty of Queens Valley School had produced many inter School debate champions and also national level sports players .The teachers left no stone unturned to encourage me and bring out the best in me . The value of individuality and opinion of students are always taken into consideration before introduction of a new change in the system .The safety and security of students is always the prime consideration, be it trips or interschool event. I enjoyed and developed the skill of balancing academics and sports being a part of Queens Valley School.

Every year was a new journey and another leap of knowledge. Destination was always unknown as some people said it was just a race. It made me think that my slow pace would take me nowhere . Soon did I realize, numerous times will I stumble but yours will be the hand helping me get back up with grace. I stepped in to learn and I walked out unlearned. I stepped in with a mind that could easily be moulded and I walked out being empowered. With all my heart, I thank every person who has been a part of my journey at Queen’s Valley.

My journey at QVS is one inseparable and unforgettable part of my life. I believe that all those who are reading this right now and have been here will agree with me when I say that our teachers not only deal in the prescribed curriculum, but also show us the right direction in becoming career oriented, independent women. Life at QVS for me has been nothing short of a completely transforming experience. From a shy introvert kid of class IV to a confident medical student presently at JNMC, Karnataka , it has been a great experience, full of ups and downs but amazing friends and absolutely supportive teachers made all of it worthwhile and taught me extremely essential life lessons. Being a part of the Science exhibitions, gave an extra edge to this journey, teaching me that success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts. I feel extremely grateful to have come across such benevolent people here and will forever cherish all those fun memories that we built together.

I shifted to Delhi in 2012 and joined QVS in class VIII with a bag full of nervousness and excitement. Studies which used to be difficult and boring, became easy and interesting at QVS. With the teachers’ perseverance, I got the wings to gallop high, enthused with vigour and ambition. Time passed by transforming me into a confident and accomplished individual. I developed interest in Humanities, and achieving good grades helped me to pursue BA (Hons.) in Applied Psychology from Delhi University. I aim to take up an MBA in Human Resources next and get another step closer to my dream. I feel extremely grateful and forever indebted to QVS.

I completed my senior high school Batch of 2015 at QVS. I remember, we had recently moved to Delhi from Hyderabad and QVS gave me a very warm and welcoming environment. The highlight of my journey at QVS will be the ever friendly and approachable teachers. They encourage an environment for all round development and open a space for students to explore ourselves. I credit a part of my success as an individual to QVS.

Achievements, applauds, opportunities, thoughts- this is what I gained from Q.V.S. It gave me a platform that I will always be grateful for. On some days, I won and some days I learned. Right from being the Head Girl and then by winning All Rounder awards in a row for three years, from the inspiring words of our Principal to the sweet scolding of our beloved teachers, my life at Q.V.S was and will remain the best experience of my life. This school let us fall and learn in order to make us climb on the ladder to success.
