Beyond Curriculum

Aurora

Heritage is our legacy from the past, what we live with today, and what we pass on to future generations. Our cultural and natural heritage are irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration. QVS believes celebrating events and festivals in schools have become an integral part of learning and building a strong cultural belief in a child. We envision creating a new generation of conscious young leaders by interweaving enriching learning experiences into the lives of learners. The school encourages students to embrace other traditional cultures just like the way they do with their own by celebrating Inter-School festival named ‘Aurora’ which literally means “the rays of early morning” or ‘the beginning’. This programme has proved to be instrumental in providing a platform to bring the schools from various schools to join hands and prepare well aware future citizens. The school schedules a wide range of activities spanning artistic innovation, scientific experience, theatrical skills, technical knowhow and elocution.

HOUSE AND CLUB SYSTEM

For inculcating the spirit of healthy competition, sportsmanship, camaraderie, teamwork, leadership, resilience, and effective communication, students from Class I onwards are divided into four houses, each named to reflect the qualities the school aims to develop in every student. The four houses are:

  • Courage
  • Integrity
  • Peace
  • Truth

Each house has its own distinctive colour and flag. All the house activities are conducted under various clubs such as:
