School Education Conference by British Council and CBSE

School Education Conference on Enhancing Multilingual Pedagogy and Practice in the Classroom was organised by the British Council in collaboration with Central Board of Secondary Education on 4 February, 2025. The event was inaugurated by HRH Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, Sh. Sanjay Kumar, Secretary Education, Department of Education and Literacy, Sh Rahul Singh, IAS, Chairperson, CBSE and other dignitaries. The event was attended by Ms. Sonila Gupta and Ms. Sakshi Gujral along with the representatives from other schools and policy-making bodies, including leaders from the NCERT, English and Foreign Languages University and many other educational organizations.

The objective of the conference was to highlight and share best practices in multilingual education and multilingual pedagogy in line with National Education Policy, 2020. Discussions explored innovative educational practices that support NEP 2020 and National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF – SE). Plenary sessions were led by experts from renowned institutions like the University of Birmingham, Goethe University Frankfurt, EFLU and CBSE.

The forum was an opportunity for educators and policymakers to collaborate and drive forward key educational reforms. It marked a significant step toward ensuring that India’s educational system meets the evolving needs of its diverse student population, paving the way for a future where multilingual education is at the core of the nation’s learning practices.

    Adventurous Trip to Rocksport (VI-VIII)

    School trips play a crucial role in enriching students' educational experiences and overall development. Keeping this in mind, QVS organized an adventurous trip for students of classes VI-VIII to Rocksport Sonipat on 3rd February 2025. The program aimed to boost students' confidence and foster teamwork through participation in a variety of engaging adventure activities. Students had the opportunity to challenge themselves, learn new skills, and build team spirit with their peers in a fun and supportive environment.

    During the trip, students and teachers participated in thrilling adventure activities, including Zipline, Archery, Roller Zorb, and other fun-filled activities. Beyond the adventure activities, participants also enjoyed other engaging experiences such as a lively DJ session, a tractor ride and pottery.

    Safety was a top priority throughout the program. School teachers and trained instructors from Rocksport closely supervised all activities, ensuring the well-being of every participant. Upon completion of the program, each student was awarded a certificate of participation, recognizing their enthusiasm and achievements during this exciting and memorable adventure.

    The Rocksport program was a fantastic experience, leaving students with cherished memories, newfound skills, and a strengthened sense of teamwork.

      Prabhat Rally for Voters' Awareness at QVS

      On February 3, 2025, students of Class X at Queen's Valley School, Dwarka, participated in a Prabhat Rally organized to promote voter awareness ahead of the Delhi Legislative Assembly Election. The rally, which began at 9 AM, aimed to encourage local residents to cast their votes in the upcoming election on February 5, 2025.

      Accompanied by their teachers, students carried banners and posters with messages highlighting the importance of voting. As they marched, they chanted the slogan “Your Vote, Your Future,” engaging the public and motivating them to participate in the democratic process.

      The event provided an excellent opportunity for students to actively engage with the community and foster civic responsibility. Queen’s Valley School is proud of its students’ enthusiastic participation in this important initiative.
