PRERANA- The School of Experiential Learning Programme

Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn. -Benjamin Franklin

In the journey of life, knowledge and experience serve as the compass and sails, guiding human beings towards their destinations. Experiential learning is crucial because it bridges theory with practice, allowing individuals to gain practical skills and insights that traditional classroom education alone cannot provide. In order to imbibe these values of creativity and adaptability, Queen’s Valley School participated in the prestigious PRERANA- The School of Experiential Learning Programme organised by the Ministry of Education.

The one-week long residential programme, started from 20 May, 2024 at the Prerana School in Vadnagar, Gujarat aimed to foster a more holistic and student-centric approach to education. The classrooms were based on nine themes that provided unique avenues for meaningful learning through activity-based engagement. The programme revolved around 3 basic questions, ‘Who am I?’, ‘What can I do for my country?’ and ‘Culture and Heritage of India’.The Prerana School allowed students to experience and internalize the values through latest technology and hands-on activities. The programme motivated the young minds to be ambassadors of change, while leaving room for them to imbibe their country’s values with a special emphasis on the slogan ‘Vasudev Kutumbakam’. Grounded in the valuable insights of our country’s rich culture and heritage, as well as foundational values, it equipped students with the skills and understanding needed to navigate their personal and professional lives effectively.

The school is proud to announce that Rahini Upreti of class X-B was selected for this Prerana Program. We congratulate Rahini on this remarkable achievement!
