NATIONAL CADET CORPS

The goal of an NCC Camp is to foster traits such as camaraderie, teamwork, leadership and self-confidence. To inculcate these qualities, the cadets of QVS attended the NCC Camp at Safdarjung Enclave from 1st September, 2023 to 10th September, 2023. A variety of competitive events like, debate, culture trivia and drills were organized at the camp to cultivate enthusiasm among the young cadets. Delhi State Inter Zone Gymnastics School Games 2023

Sports is the canvas where athleticism meets artistry, and the vibrant strokes of competition paint a portrait of human spirit and determination. Whether under the glaring stadium lights or the quiet simplicity of the local field, sports have become a universal language, spoken by those who dare to dream and strive for excellence. In line with the same spirit, QVS participated and bagged the bronze medal in the Delhi State Inter Zone Gymnastics School Games 2023, held at the S.K.V No-1, Gandhi Nagar from 28th November to 3rd December, 2023. 27th Ramjas Basketball Champions League (All India)-2023

Basketball transcends the boundaries of a mere sport; it acts as a classroom for life. Through every action, it leaves behind the lessons of determination, perseverance, passion, and discipline. Beyond physical prowess, it provides us with a sense of agility, adaptability, strategy, and the pursuit of excellence. QVS has never left even a bit of an effort to take part in competitions concerned with sports and games, and hence, took part in the 27th Ramjas Basketball Champions League (All India)-2023 held at Ramjas International School, Sector-4 R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110022 on 26th October and 2nd November, 2023. Sheryl Pradhan of class X-B was declared the best player of the tournament for her incredible performance and unwavering passion. The league saw about 2000 participants from all over India as they took part in the event. But the queens never lost their fighting spirit and achieved the gold medal at the prestigious tournament. Taekwondo Zonal Competition

In today’s world, it is essential to recognize that a child’s development extends beyond academics. Physical activities such as sports play a crucial role in their holistic development. For instance, participation in martial arts like Taekwondo offers a profusion of benefits. With the same motive, the students of QVS participated in the Taekwondo Zonal Competition held at GCSV, Sector-17, Dwarka from 23rd to 25th August, 2023. The school feels honoured to announce that Bhavya Rawat (XI-C) has adorned the school’s hall of fame by bagging third position at the event. She demonstrated the essential skills required in the field of this game-strategic thinking and precise execution, thus painting a portrait of excellence with every move. Queen’s Valley School feels exuberant to declare that Flt Cdt Siya Ojha (IX-E) has triumphantly achieved the prestige of becoming the Best Cadet: Delhi Directorate in the JD/JW category of Air Wing, after winning a victory over 900 cadets all across the capital and shall now represent Delhi in the Republic Day Camp to be held in the month of January. The cadet has established a dominant influence over her competitors by advancing four camps, several firing, written and drill tests followed by arduous interviews.

The Delhi State School Games Inter Zonal Basketball Competition 2023-24 took place at the Sports Center, Pitampura Delhi from 25th to 31st October, 2023. The event witnessed intense competition among schools from various zones across Delhi. In the Under-17 category, QVS put up an impressive performance, securing Silver Medal. The team’s coordinated defence and fluid passing were also commendable. Niyati Dhaiya (IX-D), Goranshi Yadav (IX -A), Maina Pahil (IX-F), Sheryl Pradhan (X-B), Maanvi (X-E), and Priya Yadav (XI-C) displayed great determination and teamwork, making the institution proud. Keeping this in mind, Queen’s Valley School hosted the Basketball Zonal Zone-21(Distt. South West-B-1) Najafgarh Games from 21st August 2023 to 24th August 2023 in which around 30 teams from Zone 21 participated.
